Kayaking in Dubrovnik – so much fun and a must do!

It was my third day in Dubrovnik and the weather was gorgeous! So, I needed an activity. So I put on my swimmers and went back to Dubrovnik. What did I do? Kayaking of course! Kayaking in Dubrovnik is a must do and gives you a chance to see Dubrovnik from the water. I had to do it! Especially on a sunny Sunday.

Kayaking in Dubrovnik

I had the choice between kayaking with a group and tour guide (this one here is only one of many) or by myself. And as I am not a big fan of tours I went for my own venture.

Now, I don’t think I ever went out kayaking before so it was my first time. And let me tell you, kayaking in Dubrovnik is definitely the spot to start kayaking. Did I mention it is a must do?

The journey I could take was once around the Otok Lokrum island, get close to some caves followed by a rest on one of the three Dubrovnik beaches before returning the kayak.

Once out in the water the view of the city, the colour of the water and the cliffs of the island made this one of the best highlights for me. (I apologise for soo many photos below already)… it was stunning!  I am not saying it was easy, as there is wind and light swells but it is doable and enjoyable. And I did enjoy it! Especially the swim after resting at one of the beaches.

Once again the photos will give you a better visual so I have no more to say. Perfect, perfect day, and a great time in Dubrovnik. Thank you Dubrovnik and Croatia for an amazing time. Both a must do.

Let’s see more of Europe! It was time for another country! You never guess which one… (Montenegro here I come)! Xx
