I have started my next big trip adventure, escaping the European winter. And since my flight was leaving from Paris, I thought why not spend an extra night in this romantic city and enjoy the December atmosphere? Choosing the right outfit was a bit of a challenge, however. I was heading to a hot country and didn’t want to carry a winter coat with me. But I found the perfect solution. Simply spend the day in Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris.
And it worked. My stay at this beautiful luxury hotel turned out to be more than outstanding. Not wearing a coat certainly gave me the perfect excuse to simply enjoy the hotel for the day, and night. And that’s exactly what I did at this remarkable hotel, Le Royal Monceau Raffles!

Le Royal Monceau Raffles
Perfectly located in Paris City, the luxury hotel Le Royal Monceau Raffles is absolutely incredible. It is designed by Philippe Starck, blending 1930s glamour with contemporary art and bold modernity.
The first thing you notice is his unmistakable love for mirrors. Hallways, staircases, and rooms are lined with them, each wall thoughtfully decorated. And yet, the space still feels private and never overwhelming, the placement of every mirror is clearly intentional.
Love letters near the bedside, beautiful cup designs, a creative cocktail menu, and warm red lighting, everything was simply divine in this hotel. This is luxury hospitality at its best. Especially after experiencing Raffles in the Maldives earlier in the year- My Luxury Trip to Paradise – being here in Paris just before Christmas felt magical.
You can sense the festive spirit at Le Royal Monceau Raffles as soon as you walk through the grand entrance. Greeted by happy faces from the staff, I instantly knew it was a great decision to stay in Paris.

Located just a few metres from the Arc de Triomphe, and blessed with a warm winter day, I strolled through Paris only for a short while. I stopped by Dior and passed the striking Louis Vuitton box, before returning to the cosy rooms of Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris.
The staff welcomed me with their usual warm smiles upon my return. I certainly felt very special!

The restaurants and the Bar at Raffles Paris
My day at Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris also included a memorable culinary experience. For lunch I had the pleasure to enjoy the sushi restaurant Matsuhisa. This restaurants showcases a contemporary vision of Japanese cuisine by legendary Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, featuring many of Nobu’s signature dishes. Everything was absolutely delicious, and watching the chefs prepare each dish was definitely a bonus.
Make sure to leave room for dessert. It’s absolutely outstanding and truly worth it.

After lunch, walking and a few business meetings, I spent the evening in the beautifully designed Le Bar Long. Nestled in the centre of the hotel, this elegant bar embodies a luxurious Parisian atmosphere. Designed by Philippe Starck, it offers a stylish yet welcoming setting. For me, this was definitely a great way to finish the day within Le Royal Monceau Raffles. I enjoyed a perfectly crafted cocktail while staying warm and cosy.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to experience the Italian Michelin-starred restaurant Il Carpaccio, but that just gives me another reason to come back to this stunning luxury hotel. I guess there were not enough meal opportunities in the day to try it all.
Breakfast
The staff advised me to come to breakfast hungry, which was not an easy task. But they were absolutely right. The breakfast at Le Royal Monceau Raffles easily surpassed many others I’ve enjoyed during my luxury hotel stays. I tried to sample as much as I could. And although I left completely satisfied, I still felt I should have tasted even more of the delicious pastries created by pastry chefs Yazid Ichemrahen and Alexandre Favre.
I was so focused on eating, I didn’t even take any photos. But I will definitely come back for the breakfast experience. On this trip, I needed to be bikini-ready for my next travels.
Thank you Le Royal Monceau Raffles for an amazing day and night stopover, and for keeping me warm and comfortable throughout my stay. À bientôt! See you soon x
