So, having sailed together on the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, I knew Susan would be the perfect person to share her honest impressions of the much-anticipated Four Seasons Yacht voyage.

Four Seasons Yacht I Voyage
Our travel agent offered us an exclusive invitation a few years before the highly anticipated Four Seasons Yacht I was due to embark on its inaugural voyages. As longtime guests of Four Seasons properties around the world, we eagerly accepted the invitation and placed our deposit without hesitation.
We booked a nine-day Four Seasons Yacht I voyage sailing from Athens, Greece, to Dubrovnik, Croatia. Having enjoyed the exceptional service and hospitality that define the Four Seasons brand for many years, we expected our Four Seasons Yacht experience to reflect those same world-class standards.
Embarkation day couldn’t have gone more smoothly. The security and check-in process was efficient, seamless and welcoming. As soon as we stepped onboard, the crew handed us a glass of champagne and took us on a short tour of the beautiful yacht. We then headed to the main pool for lunch. It was the perfect way to begin our voyage. What was to expect after, we didn’t quite know.
After lunch, we arrived at our Grand Ocean Suite, where a chocolate cake, champagne and fresh fruit welcomed us. It was a wonderful welcome onboard, and one you’d expect from a luxurious voyage. Before settling in, we watched the mandatory muster video on an impressive transparent television. This made it by far the easiest and most enjoyable safety briefing we’ve ever experienced.
The suite itself was spacious, beautifully designed and luxuriously appointed, featuring a comfortable living area, a generous bedroom, two full bathrooms (one with heated floors), a walk-in wardrobe and plenty of storage. Amusingly, it took us almost five days to discover that the bedroom television folded down from the ceiling. Nobody had pointed it out!

Dining & Entertainment on Four Seasons Yacht I
Four Seasons Yacht I is undeniably beautiful, although the layout felt a little confusing at first. By the third day, however, we were navigating the yacht with ease.
Dining onboard included three restaurants, two bar venues and a casual breakfast café. While the choice of venues was excellent, the menus changed very little during our nine-day voyage, making them feel repetitive. A rotating menu would greatly enhance the Four Seasons Yacht dining experience. Some meals were outstanding, while others were less memorable.
Bar O quickly became our favourite spot, thanks to its talented mixologists, exceptional cocktails and intimate atmosphere. The adjacent cigar lounge was equally popular, especially with my husband and our new friends.
The spa was another highlight of our Four Seasons Yacht experience. The therapists were excellent, the facilities luxurious and the treatments outstanding. One tip: despite being told we didn’t need to pre-book, appointments filled quickly. So I’d definitely recommend booking in advance.
Entertainment was enjoyable throughout the voyage, with live music, vocal performances, films and a lively Greek dance show. The evening gatherings in the marina, accompanied by a DJ, created a fun atmosphere where guests could dance, socialise and make new friends. It was certainly a great vibe on board.

Excursions
The shore excursions offered plenty of choice for different interests and activity levels. However, some involved long coach journeys, so it’s worth checking the details carefully.
Looking back, we would probably have arranged more private tours through the concierge. Thinking most excursions would be more exclusive and private, we didn’t think of this option beforehand and only discovered it towards the end of the voyage.

Summary – is it worth it?
So, is the Four Seasons Yacht worth it? The answer depends on your expectations. The Four Seasons Yacht I is certainly a beautiful vessel with spacious suites, an outstanding spa and a genuinely warm, attentive crew. We also enjoyed meeting fellow guests, and the atmosphere onboard was one of the highlights of the voyage. We did encounter a few minor maintenance issues during our voyage. But, given that the yacht had only recently entered service, these were understandable. More importantly, the crew addressed every issue promptly, professionally, and with genuine care.
Overall, we don’t feel the experience fully justified its premium price. The additional charges for dining and drinks, limited menu changes, and a few service inconsistencies made the voyage feel less inclusive than we had expected from the Four Seasons brand.
As this was already the eleventh voyage of Four Seasons Yacht, we believe the operation should have felt more refined. The crew’s professionalism was never in question, but several service and operational details still needed attention to meet the standards we associate with the Four Seasons name. Even so, Four Seasons Yacht has tremendous potential and surely will become one of the world’s leading luxury yacht experiences.

Would you go on a Four Seasons Cruise again?
Despite the beauty of Four Seasons Yacht I and how much we genuinely enjoyed many aspects of the voyage, we are unlikely to book another sailing unless the pricing structure changes. We believe the experience would benefit from becoming truly all-inclusive. Given the premium cost of the voyage, a more inclusive approach would better reflect the level of value and service guests expect from the Four Seasons brand.
So, would we sail on Four Seasons Yacht again? For now, probably not. While the yacht itself is beautiful and the crew is exceptional, I don’t feel the current experience justifies the premium price. If Four Seasons adopts a more inclusive approach in the future, we would happily reconsider.
